How does it work?

HOW IT WORKS:

A Truemidity Humidity Pack is like a water-vapor membrane sponge that releases and absorbs water vapor due to the pressure and temperature of the environment. Dependent upon the desired RH, the geography, and climate of the location, the pack will work to manage the humidity by either adding water vapor to the environment or absorbing it. The impregnated eco-friendly fiber compressed layer membrane allows the transmission of a vapor and will not cause any damage to product or packaging through contact. A vital benefit of a Truemidity Humidity Pack is that it contains no fluids that behave like liquids and that potentially could seep or leak through and/or cross contaminate or vapor from the packaging and destroy your cigars.

RELATIVE HUMIDITY & WATER CONTENT:

Relative humidity tells us how much water vapor is in the air, compared to how much it could hold at that temperature. It is shown as a percent. For example, a relative humidity of 50 percent means the air is holding one half of the water vapor it can hold. In plant based work, water content traditionally has been expressed as the ratio of the mass of water present in a sample to the mass of the sample after it has been dried to constant weight, or as the volume of water present in a unit volume of the sample.

Truemidity moisture packs were specifically developed for storing cigars in humidors. The technology, which is based on plant-derived cellulose, keeps the relative humidity constant at approximately 69% RH or 72% RH. The unique aspect of this technology is that it regulates the relative humidity in both directions – either increasing or decreasing it – ensuring that the optimal humidity level of around 69% RH or 72% RH is always maintained.

By storing your cigars with Truemidity moisture packs, you keep them fresh, allowing them to age in the humidor and develop their full flavor. Another advantage is that the packs increase the humidity only up to the specified levels, ensuring that no mold forms due to over-humidification. The Truemidity moisture packs are particularly effective when used in an airtight humidor.

The handling and application of Truemidity moisture packs is incredibly simple. After removing the moisture pack from its outer packaging, simply place it in the humidor, where it will automatically regulate the humidity to the ideal level of around 69% RH or 72% RH. The moisture pack can be placed either upright or flat inside the humidor.

Please ensure that the outer packaging of the moisture packs remains sealed before use in the humidor, as the moisture pack is activated by UV light. Once you remove the pack from the packaging, it will be activated and begin working immediately.

The lifespan of the moisture packs is approximately 3 to 4 months after their initial activation by UV light. You can easily test when it's time to replace the pack by touching and bending it – if it feels firm and no longer flexible, it should be replaced.
Additionally, it is recommended to regularly check the hygrometer in the humidor to monitor the humidity level displayed.

Use Truemidity moisture packs only in suitable humidors for cigars – they are most effective when the humidor can be sealed airtight.

- Always use Truemidity moisture packs only once – they are not "rechargeable" by placing them in water or other liquids.

- Do not use Truemidity moisture packs in combination with other brands' moisture packs, as they operate on different technologies (gel/water-based).

- Do not use Truemidity moisture packs with different humidity levels in the same humidor – if you are using multiple packs in a humidor, make sure they all have the same humidity level.

- Please do not open the brown Truemidity moisture pack – doing so will cause it to lose its effectiveness.

- Do not ingest the Truemidity moisture pack – while it is completely non-toxic, it is not intended for human consumption.
